Pourquoi "You, Yourself & You" ?

 A vrai dire, je voulais mettre "me, myself and I" mais j'avais envie de faire un jeu de mot un peu bête haha. "You, Yourself & You", c'est dans l'optique de dire "Live for Yourself". Il y a une chose que je déteste. De nos jours, la plupart des gens essaye d'être quelque qu'un qu'ils ne sont pas, ou bien d'être conformiste et penser au "qu'en dira t-on ?". Pourquoi vouloir ressembler à quelqu'un que l'on n'est pas ? Je pense qu'il y a un lien direct avec la Mode. Nous avons des inspirations, certes. Des personnes qui nous permettent de croire en nos rêves ou bien qui nous permettent de nous dire "et si c'était moi ?". Mais ce que je tiens à ne pas vous faire oublier c'est que ces personnes ont elles, aussi, eu des inspirations. Des inspirations qui leur ont ensuite donné envie d'influencer, de créer quelque chose de nouveau, d'innovateur. 

Alors n'ayez pas seulement des inspirations, vivez pour vous, ayez votre style; devenez, à votre tour, une source d'inspiration. o(^o^)o

Why "You, Yourself & You"?

 To tell the truth, I was rather going to say "Me, Myself & I" but I just wanted to make a dumb play on words. "You, Yourself & You" is not to say selfishness and waffle but to say "Live for Yourself". There is a thing which I really dislike. Nowadays, most people try to be someone that they are not, or are conformists and think about what people will say. Why be someone that we will never be ? I think there is a causal link with Fashion. We have inspirations, certainly. They allow us to believe in our dreams or to say: 'and if it was me ?' What I am keen to is not you to forget that once, those people had inspirations *sure, they do now* Inspiration that gave them the wish and passion to influence the world, to create something new, trend-setter. 

Thus, don't only have inspirations to 'believe into', live for yourself, and become an inspiring influence. o(^o^)o




 

what am I wearing:  ALL VINTAGE ! haha

Aujourd'hui, c'est du all vintage, salopette, chaussure, chemise. En cherchant à m'acheter une nouvelle salopette je me suis rendue compte que les 3/4 des gens mettaient toujours quelque chose à l'intérieur de leur salopette: peut-etre une marinière ou un t-shirt pour accentuer cette effet "marin" lmao.
C'est pourquoi je me suis demandée si c'était si moche que ça de mettre quelque chose à l'extérieur.. résultat: J'ai adoré :))

Today, it is all vintage, overall, shoes, shirt. I was looking for a new overall, and I realized that most people wear something inside the overall like t-shirt or a striped jersey: maybe it is to bring out the "sailor"  effect lmao. That's why I thought:" would it be that ugly to wear something on an overall ?" Well I guess not ! I loved it :))

Fall/Winter 13 Ready-to-Wear: 3.1 Phillip Lim

Comme vous le savez, dans un mois c'est la fin de l'été, du soleil, du je-mange-trop-de-glaces-mais-c'est-parce-qu'il-fait-trop-chaud et du je-me-lève à 12h. C'est souvent dès maintenant qu'on commence à penser au prochain automne, et qu'on se demande "comment vais-je m'habiller ?" ou bien on s'en fout royalement et continue à manger des glaces. *ce qui n'est pas votre cas bien sur* C'est pourquoi je me suis dit qu'un post sur cette saison Automne/ Hiver 13 s'imposait. Je vais prendre quelques exemples des créations de mes designers favoris. 

As you know, in one month, summer will be over. No more sun, no more I-ate-a-whole-pot-of Ben & Jerry's-cause-it-was-unbearably-hot. *that was long to edit* and surely, no more I-can wake-up-at-anytime! It is usually from now on, that we think about the next autumn/winter, wondering:" What am I going to wear ? or How ?" Or even better, you go on eating up ice cream. That's why, I thought, a post for Fall/Winter 13/14 was required. I will take some examples from my favourite designers' pieces, from now on for each post about FW13. 
Let's begin with 3.1 Phillip Lim

3.1 PHILLIP LIM - FW13 WOMEN'S SONOMAMA

PRINT CAMPAIGN

                     

Si je devais qualifier cette collection, je dirais qu'elle se rapproche du style rock/chic. La matière la plus utilisée est  le cuir noir. Le motif qu'on retrouve principalement est le carreau. "L'oversized" fait son retour. De grands manteaux en cuir blanc ou noir, au choix. Les couleurs principales d’après Phillip Lim, sont une palette de couleurs entre le noir, gris et blanc, le marron tan, le camel mais le rose aussi. D'après moi, les deux pièces phares de cette collection restent ce long pardessus rose/pamplemousse relief néoprène porté par la (désormais) incontournable mannequin japonaise Mizuhara Kiko *voir print campaign*. L'autre pièce, est ces pantalons plissés, fusselés, oversized *ou pas* qui vont jusqu'à la cheville. Magnifique. Portés avec des "ankle boots", elles vous feront des jambes de gazelles.

If I had to qualify this collection, I would say it gets closer to the rock/chic style. The most used material is the black leather.  The main motif is the plaid. Hope you did not throw your oversized coat away, the "Oversized"  has made its comeback. White or black oversized leather coat, your wish. According to Phillip Lim, the principal colors this season, are a palette of black, grey and white, the tan, the camel but some pink too. For me, the two flagship pieces of this collection are definitely this grapefruit embossed neoprene overcoat worn by one of my favorite Japanese model, Mizuhara Kiko. The other piece that I would dream to have are those oversized pleat pants. Perfect. Wearing with ankle boots, it will be more than beautiful.

     Quelque chose de décadent,mais de précis

Une superposition des matières/couleurs parfaites.

Ne serait-ce qu'en regardant la "print campaign et " la film campaign" nommée:  3.1 PHILLIP LIM SONOMAMA qui a été tourné au Japon, je comprends tout de suite l'atmosphère de cette collection, tout va vite. Je suis emportée dans une folie qui devient rapidement contagieuse. Un style unique. Entre un Japon rockeur des années 60 et une bande de jeunes bien fringués qui ne rêvent que de liberté.
La musique ne nous aide pas. C'est un son rock pur et dur. Du brut.

Somehow it is confusing, but extremely  precise.
Materials perfectly layered.

Just by seeing and watching the print campaign  and the film named: "3.1 PHILLIP LIM SONOMAMA", which was taken in Japan, I understand this collection's atmosphere right away, everything goes fast. I am taking away by this madness which is contagious. An unique style. Mixed between this 60s Japanese rock 'n' roll and those well-dressed  youngsters who want to be free.
The OST don't help. It's the good old days rock 'n' roll. In raw.

Que s'est-il passé ?

J'ai récemment acheté une nouvelle paire de chaussure: NEW BALANCE 574. Je les adore. Elles sont vraiment confortables. La couleur bordeaux est juste parfaite. Oui, je suis une fan de sneakers. J'aime ce côté vintage des New Balance, différents de ce que l'on peut trouver ailleurs avec d'autres marques telle que Nike. Avec quelques amis, nous sommes allés au marché des Antiquaires, tout près de chez moi. Je voulais leurs montrer les merveilles d'un Paris caché mais j'avais oublié que le mardi, il était fermé. Argh. Heureusement, on s'est retrouvé dans un très beau quartier. Et la première chose que je me suis demandé était: "Euh.. on est au Japon là, ou c'est moi ?" Je voyais de nombreuses allées, collées ou plutôt juxtaposées les une aux autres; avec ces files électriques attachées aux poteaux, et ces habitations très basses que l'on retrouve souvent au Japon. Nous voulions d'abord faire notre shooting vers Montmartre mais on s'est dit que puisque qu'on était déjà là, pourquoi bougez ?
 J'ai mi quelque photos que j'ai prise de l'endroit et de mes amis dans la rubrique "lifestyle"!

What happened ?

While ago, I bought some new shoes and among them was the classic, the mythic, one of the greats, ok stop now, the New Balance 574. I am fond of them. They are so comfy. 

The burgundy-colored is perfect. I love this touch of vintage, old-school (the 90s),  that you can find in New Balance  that you can't in some others famous brands like Nike. With some friends, we went to "Le Marché des Antiquaires", (there is not really a translation for that but the must appropriate might be 'The Market of Antique dealers'), near my place. I wanted to show them the magnificent of the 'hidden Paris' but I had forgotten that on Tuesday, it was closed. 

Uh-mm. Fortunately, we ended up in front of a lovely area of which I had no idea about, being closed. The first thing I thought was, 'Are we in Japan ?'. Yes, crazy of me. I was seeing many alleys, stuck, rather juxtaposed; with those thin electric cables attached to the lamp posts, something that you can usually find in Japan.
