PARIS FASHION WEEK #1 #2

As you all know, Paris Fashion Week is over ! Unfortunately, I had class thus I wasn't really able to take a lot of pictures guyz haha. The real big new is that I saw Pharrell Williams, yes, you did not misunderstand, PHARRELL WILLIAMS ! *fangirling* I also saw Lenny Kravitz, he's so nice ! *yes he's kind of my friend in my head* Well, it happened a few days ago already, yet, I'm still confused. There is a lot of Liu Wen's pictures below, but you know me.. *well if you don't, Liu Wen is one of my favourite models* ! I'm sure you know the coolest and nicest, blogger/editor Susanna Lau aka. Susie Bubble, you will see some pictures of her. She's really one of my biggest inspirations :) 

I know my text is kind of fragmented, but it reflects exactly, my state of mind right now haha *yes, because of Pharrell*

Afri'tude.

I've never been a boubou-print fan. Like, ever. My style tends to be monochromic, with some accessories thrown here and there to funky up my outfits. Even though the boubou-print is culturally prominent in Cameroon, it is more of a "working-daddy" stuff than a fashionable trend likely to be adopted by youngsters like me. Being aware of the domination of "occidental trends" over the fashion scene here, I decided to go against the "standard" and try something different; something both far from my personal style and close to my culture.
How would I do that ? By trying boubou-print of course !

 

 

This boubou-print oversized blazer is a gift of my father's. He didn't wear it anymore, so I decided to steal it from him. It was a handmade blazer which is part denim, part cotton and part woven raffia. Its vivacious colours prevented me from using any acessory (because it'd be "too much" and look tacky, in my opinion) and inspired me to couple it with this black skinny jeans that I ripped myself (#TeamDIYBabieees !). I think the best way to wear a similar highly coloured oversized top is to pair it with a skinny dark-coloured jeans and dark or burgundy derbys, instead of going barefeet like me.

Just a word

CLOSED

I hate this word. You know, when you take the tube/bus or whatever and you walk... You are very near to the shop, a few meters left. You feel like you are succeeding in something. You are in front of the shop. THE shop you really X2 love. HOWEVER, there is a BIG placard which tells you that "your" shop, is closed. I always am like: How could you do this to me ? *perfect line in all dramas* Do you know what I have been throught to be here ? *I am talking to a door which is never going to answer, I KNOW*

That's why: ALWAYS CALL BEFORE BEING TRAPPED.

*trapped? Maybe not*

I can not help myself. I am obsessed by Freedie Mercury. Golden Boy is my favourite song ! Just pure genius. He mixed classic and "opera style" with blues and gospel during 6 minutes of pure happiness. Go listen to it if you did not have the chance to !

The necklace "Harajuku" is from Forever21. Actually, it's a gift from my bestfriend :)
Just know he bought it at Forever21 !

It's the end. Keut (korean word). I bought CREEPERS. I was so tempted by whatever it was. But yes, I bought it. I was tempted, I'm telling you, POSSESSED. Seriously, let's talk 2 minutes about creepers. The first time I saw them, I was "Gosh, what are they ? Some other weird shoes that punks and grunge guys wear ?" Not really nice from me I have to say ^^' But creepers can be repulsive. Lately, doing some research, I re-found these creepers and I just fell in love. They are so pretty in blue ! How can you not be tempted by these beauties ?? Anyway, I changed my mind about CREEPERS.
